Determining your cryptocurrency personality is a great way to know what type of crypto investor you are. This knowledge will help you determine which cryptocurrencies are best for your portfolio, and how much time and money you should invest in them. Cryptocurrency personalities can be divided into six different types: The Gambler, The Trader, The Hodler, The Early Adopter, The Believer, and The Inventor.

The Gambler

Cryptocurrency personalities like gamblers are often drawn to the thrill of a risk, so they invest in many cryptocurrencies that have high volatility. They may also be attracted to all Initial Coin Offerings (ICOs) and coin offerings looking for new opportunities. These people can make or lose money quickly, but it’s important not to put too much at stake since there is always an element of chance involved.

The Trader

Traders love cryptocurrency because it allows them to take on positions while limiting their downside risk with stop-loss orders and other trading techniques. This type of investor invests time into researching trends and news before executing trades when markets swing up or down rapidly. Trading is more suitable for day traders than long-term investors.

The Hodler

Cryptocurrency personalities like not dealing with the emotional ups and downs of cryptocurrency markets, which is why they invest in Bitcoin or Ethereum for the long term. They may also be interested in alternative cryptocurrencies that are less volatile than most other coins on the market but nonetheless have strong technical foundations such as Litecoin (LTC) or Dash (DASH).

These people want to benefit from price appreciation without spending too much time manually trading their investments. You can think of them as “buy-and-hold” investors who hold crypto assets until it reaches a certain value before selling at a higher rate.

The Early Adopter

Cryptocurrency early adopters invested heavily into Bitcoin when its price was below $100. They have a vast knowledge of cryptocurrency and blockchain technology, so they are always looking for new opportunities in the crypto market. These people can make or lose money quickly because they invest with a high-risk tolerance.

The Believer

Cryptocurrency believers believe that cryptocurrencies will fundamentally change society as we know it today just like personal computers did earlier this century. For these investors, investing time to learn about different coins is important before making purchases since there is less pure speculation involved than other types of investments such as stocks and bonds.

Unlike early adopters who may also be evangelists, believers might not want to spread their message online but rather quietly enjoy their position over time without bragging too much about how little they paid per coin when they bought it.

The Inventor

Cryptocurrency inventors believe that they can make a coin better than bitcoin and become the next Satoshi Nakamoto (the father of Bitcoin). They invest in cryptocurrency because they think their coins will be worth more in the future, but these investors often overpay for cryptocurrencies because they are too excited to wait or try out different coins before making purchases.

These people may also value tokens with highly technical features such as smart contracts over other types of digital assets. The inventor type has an entrepreneurial spirit who wants to build something new from scratch instead of buying into what is already established on the market today like some traders do when looking at stocks listed on NASDAQ or NYSE.
